A safe & fun environment for adults with learning difficulties
Based in Chesterfield, Freedom Centre Ltd is a home from home environment, encouraging and supporting adults with learning difficulties to enjoy an active life and getting out and about in their local communities.

Our
had a vision of providing high quality day services to those who need it. In
the early days Chris and Paul did everything themselves from personal care
to payroll. As time went on, the business grew and they employed a team
of staff to assist them in caring for the individuals who used the day service
(many of those are still with us today). This allowed Chris and Paul to focus
on the business side of things, and, in 2015 they opened a small 7 bed
residential care home for adults with learning disabilities.
Fast forward to 2024, Chris and Paul are are both in their 60s and wish to
retire, so they began handing over the reins to their daughters, Kira and
Beth.
Kira and Beth had both worked at the company, in various roles since
leaving school so they knew the business very well. Learning how to run it,
along with all the legislation has been a difficult task, one
which is still ongoing. However, we are learning, we are
bringing in new clients and we feel we are doing well.
In the future, we hope to expand the business further
and fill the very big boots that were previously our
parents.
